6.2 - Weekend Preparations

The weekly cleaning and some studying was my morning program today. For lunchtime I only had Alice because Clé ate in the canteen with her friends. We had the chance to eat a bit what we two were in the mood for, salmon accompanied by pastagratain with cheese and mushrooms. Suddenly Anthony entered quickly for a coffee. Luckily I hadn't begun to construct the gingerbread construction yet. Alice and I played a table game, pyramide d'animaux, before heading back to school again.

Iara came here for the afternoon. It was 10 days ago since we last time met, feels like an eternity. We had tea, chatted and started then together to build the gingerbread construction. Iara was very helpful because it wasn't easy at all to make everything keep together. When Iara left I finished the rest and skyped quick with my mum before I went to pick up the girls from school. 

During the evening after the goûter we just played, coloured and with Clé we did her homework and punishment. The family was going to some friends for the evening and the girls didn't have to take their bath before. When Anthony came home I drove them to Bondues and Céline came there straight from work.

At home I made myself dinner, an omelette, alone. Miriam came and we soon left to Lille for the evening and on the way we picked up Lindsay. We went to Vieux Lille to a bar, Autrement dit, where we met up with Laura (England), Luise (Germany) and her finnish friend, Mikaela. First we had problems to find a parking spot because it was friday night and we weren't the only ones to go out. There were poor men running around trying to guide cars to parking spots and by doing that get some money.

We had a very good time with the girls and it was really lightening to talk some finnish with Mikaela. Later also a friend of Luise and Mikaela, Edouard, came to join us. He's a law student and a real gentleman. We staid out longer than planned and outside it was really cold. When we left we all first went to Edouards car, which was supposed to be parked just around the corner, and he drove Lindsay, Miriam and me to our car. It was 1.30 am and Lindsay and I were in the mood of going to have a snack or something, but on the way home we didn't find anything nice that was open, not even Mac Donalds, so then we just went home. Lindsay and Miriam had to get up pretty early tomorrow to get a bus to Amsterdam. I didn't have any stress about tomorrow morning, just the evening will be full of program ;)
