23.12 - Pre-Christmas

Malou slept the whole night with me in my bed and even though I moved, she just changed her position. She was still in my room in the morning and stayed there the whole day.

After the parents had left, the children and I had breakfast and then Martin left for the whole day for a football tournament. The girls had to take a bath this morning and it was much calmer than on weekday evenings. After the baths we put on my well smelling body cream and did massages.

Céline has asked us to prepare something nice for the table for the evening when the guests would be here. We did namecards for everyone with decorations to put on eachs place. Everything went well with the girls the whole day except when it was time to clean up or change clothes.

For lunch we had canned Ravioli Bolognese with cheese, which is always a sure choice with children. After I had cleande the kitchen we went out for a while. We made a tour in Linselles by bike and trottinet and left by the skatepark and caressed horses on the way. We saw two horses kissing each other.

Arrived at home we took the goûter and had hot milk in front of the TV while watching Cinderella 2. We sat there on the sofa all three together. We had a short cleaning and dress changing pause before wathing the Moomins. Martin came also home soon, hungry and tired. The girls and I put the table for the children and put our namecards on eachs place, even the adults'.

Soon Céline, Anthonys sisters family (Emilie, Olivier, Gaytan and Capucine), Ima, Ipa and Anthony came. They got to prepare all the rest for the evening. Ima had made the foie gras (duck lever), a very traditional french Christmas dish that you put on bread. Willy-Freanck, Jennyfer and Clémille, 14, (Willys daughter) came also and then we started with the appéro, which included champaign, different chips, cherry tomatoes, sausages, toasts with foie gras and salmon toasts. I tasted for the first time this foie gras and I liked it a lot!

For the main dish we had three different quiches, quiche lorraine, spinach and compté-tomatoe, and salad. I liked a lot to talk with all the adults but then I played also a bit with the children, especially when they started playing on the wii, just dance and Mario kart. We had a lot of fun!

For desert Céline had bought buches of ice cream and then we finally destroyed the Moomin gingerbread house. People liked it a lot and it diminished surprisingly fast. I had a lot of that gingerbread house, maybe just cause I got the feeling of home.

Capucine, one of the cousins, stayed here over night and Martin went to sleep at Ima and Ipa with Gaytan. I'll be the day with three girls tomorrow. Now I go to sleep next to my stomach 😜 while listening a bit to christmas music.
