After the brilliant breakfast we made ourselves on our way. It was a pretty cold morning and frost everywhere on the ground. The car ride was one hour and there was a lot to see while approaching London. The city seemed endless. First arriving to the center we drove over the Tower Bridge and while crossing the Themes we had a beautiful view to Big Ben, Westminster Abbey and the London Eye.
First we parked close to Buckingham Palace. Céline stayed in the car because she felt really sick. For the beginning we started with the parade of the guards at Buckingham Palace. The parade is at 11 am only once a day, and mow in winter only every second day. The amount of people was huge and we had luck because the guards marched just in front of us.
We parked the car for the whole day close to Westminster Abbey. From there we walked along the Themes admiring the magnificent buildings. We had lunch at KFC. The children had children's menu with nuggets, Anthony some chicken wings, I a pulled chicken twister and Céline nothing cause she didn't feel good and had no appetite during the whole day.
Then, because we're in London and there are sales everywhere, we had to do some shopping. We went to Primark, where everything was pretty cheap and even I bought some clothes. All the children got a souvenir from a souvenir shop and then we lead a head by bus, a red doubledecker, to the Science Museum. It was very pleasant to travel by bus because you could see a lot, especially along Oxford street.
The Science Museum museum was very educating and fun. You could do and try a lot of things yourself. The museum is huge so there was no possibility for us to visit everything but I think we chose very well the parts we absolutely wanted to see.
It was cold and totally dark when we left the museum. We took two buses to get back to the car and everybody seemed already a bit tired, certainly Alice. We changed bus at Picadelly Circus, which was a breathtaking view with all the lights in the dark. London is very beautiful also at night. In the car the children watched movies. When arrived to the hotel we went straight to the restaurant. This was our last night here and I was in a mood for a desert, a chocolate brownie, after my fishballs. The children had found their favourites from their menu and Céline ordered just nature rice. Hopefully she's better tomorrow.
It was already late and everyone went quickly to bed. Some read still something and I wrote postcards.
Today it's four months ago I left Finland for my adventure in France at the Puech family. Incredible how time has flown by.
