We all got up pretty late but Martin did the record by getting up at eleven. The whole morning we just staid inside doing calm things. I went out to walk a bit before lunch because the weather was surprisingly sunny. At the same time I listened to the new album of Satellite Stories, which I like a lot.
This countryside is very beautiful. When I entered home again Mamou and Roland, the neighbour, sat chatting in the kitchen. He's very nice and I talked also a bit with them but didn't want to disturb too much. When he left he wished me a good return back home and gave real kisses on my cheeks.
For lunch Mamou made chicken and real fries. Usually I'm not a big fan of fries but these home made ones with Mamou's onion sauce were really tasty. Everyone liked.
Later I went to play outside with the kids. Martin and I played Badminton with too small rackets and then we all played school. I was an arts teacher and the theme of my class was nature. We all had to make a creation out of only natural components. The kids were totally involved and we finally created together a dolphin. Later on Martin and I kicked football. He's really good and I had no chances against him but it was fun.
After we got back inside Mamou soon came home from playing her daily lotto and then Valerie, Martin, Mathis (Martins friend and a neighbour) and I went for a treasure hunt. We had with us a metal detector and a spade. We tried our luck but didn't find anything. It was still fun. Mamou and Clé went to pick flowers in the forest and Alice wanted to stay at home and watch TV.
When we got back we didn't have much time before we had to leave for the train. We packed the rest of our bags, ate a snack and then Mamou and Valerie drove us to the train in Aulnoye-Aylmeries. Our timetable was a bit tight but we still managed it.
We found a very nice place for us all four in the train. We had a space with a sofa and a table with four seats. Martin just kept on reading but the girls and I played piratatak. Later they started doing a lot of mess and didn't listen to what I said so I had to punish them to calm down by putting them both alone to their own seat just stairing out of the window wothout doing anything special for a while. It worked and then we continued playing until we arrived to Gare Lille Flandres. When the controller came to check our tickets he made a big remark because I didn't have some special cards for famille nombreuse, which allows to have a certain reduction. The parents had forgotten to give those cards to me. Fortunately he let us go this time but I got a bit scared in that situation.
At the station in Lille Céline came to meet us. Everyone were happy so meet. We went first all together to Calinauto to wash the car. It was a very new and modern place to wash the car and not even expensive, 6€. It was good to make a careful wash of the car after the vacation in the mountains.
Then Céline had a surprise: we were going to eat out all together and Anthony was gonna join too. No one found out the surprise before we arrived. We went to Pata Pata, where I had never been before. It's a grill restaurant with modest prices and Céline recommended their burgers. I took a Pata Ch'ti, which is a burger like a baguette with typical ingredients from the north of France, beef, bacon and Maroilles cheese. It was delicious and a nice way to return back home.
It was very pleasant to get back home after a long break. During the evening I chatted, played Hay Day and skyped with mummi and later on with Emi. It was long time no talk so we had a lot to talk about. I couldn't sleep in early but tomorrow I have to get up at the same time as on normal weekdays to go with Céline and the girls to Alice's ear doctor. I was happy to sleep in my "own" bed again.
