29.10 - Chilling and journey to Paris

This morning I got up late. The children had all left with ima and ipa to a concert and Céline was at home but she had just left for some shopping so I was calm alone at home. I enjoyed the moment of having a great breakfast for myself at 10 in the morning. I skyped spontaneously with Emilia for a while and when I started talking I noticed that my voice was totally gone even though I had already had breakfast and drunk two cups of tea. It was really nice to have a quick skype like that.

When Céline came home from Ikea, we started talking about our families and houses and she showed me some pictures from their house before it was renovated and old pictures of the children. We talked for a really long time and it was nice. Situations like that make me feel welcome in this family.

Soon I started preparing myself and my bag for going to Paris for the weekend. As usual, I'm always in a hurry for the bus because I'm an time optimist. I went to Iaras place by bus and it rained badly. At Iaras I got a hot tea and then we started making quiche. We maid two, one with chèvre and courgettes and the other with paprika, tomatoe and parmesan. They came both out really well.
For dessert we had cookies and then we went to Lille. Iara had to buy a birthday present for her mother and then we met up with Luise. We spent a lot of time in Furet du Nord, but there is so much nice stuff so it's hard to have a quick visit in that shop. We talked and walked around in shops before we went back to Iaras. I had left my bag for the weekend there and then we ate before I had to go and take the train.

I was a bit nervous even though I know that I don't have to. It's always a bit special to travel somewhere alone and I'm sooo looking forward to meet Laura. I was half an hour before departure at the train station for being sure and I started talking to a very nice guy who waited for an other train. We changed numbers and maybe we'll meet again.

In the train I sat next to a man and we chatted a bit. The TGV drives so smooth that you hardly notice that you're moving on an high speed. Incredible. The ride was very convenient and it took only 1h 20min and I was in Paris. When I arrived, Laura ran to hug me at the station and I started to cry of happiness, as usual.

We head straight off by metro to Lauras place. We had to change metro twice cause she lives in an other part of Paris but it wasn't still that far away. Her apartment is very small but cozy. We sat drinking tea and eating a whole package of Alsacian Schokoladenlebkuchen until 4 in the morning. We had so much to talk about cause we hadn't met for such a long time and had to update each other of all the happenings.
